a  greeting card company via a writing contest

I did not win money but was recognized

but since it was years ago it is no longer availble

In Awe Of You
Because you never ask me to justify my silence
or demand my presence when I am lost in thought or mood
Because of your gentle beauty and the smile you give
that transends any harshness in my life
For the moments you give so selflessly and without
hesitation in loving support and friendship
For the light in which illuminates from your presence
and all around me and those in which you touch
and defeats any darkness or coldness this world imposes
Because just the touch of your fingers make me tremble
and makes me aware of your every thought
Because when I wake in the midst of the night
and find you watching me and crying with emotion and I cry too
Because of this I am in awe of you
Because you love me as much as I love you.
